ok i was wondering about the harm that could happen if i run the car without the cable. the thing is that the cable doesnt reach the Holley double pumper i put on. i bought a mr gasket universal throttle bracket but it still doesnt reach. just in case how much would a new cable run me?

I don't think with a 350 it will do any harm but you will have to downshift it manually.

 

With the th350, all it does is downshift. So, you won't have a throttle activated downshift. The only harm could be from the added heat the converter will produce if you don't downshift correct forcing the converter to slip alot.

thanks guys, but one question is how do i downshift manually? its an automatic tranny. ???

Just pull the shifter down to second gear. That's downshifting. That's what that cable does when it's hooked up. I don't have mine hooked up cause I was too lazy too. I just downshift it myself. Get a B&M Megashifter for it. You'll be glad you did.
