I have a stock 1986 6cyl. 2.8l Firebird. I was just wondering what transmission came with that, and if it could handle a GM 3.8 out of a buick without any mods to the tranny, or if id need a new one.

Any feedback will be appreciated.

It's either a 700R4 (auto) or a T-5 (manual) either way the buick motor won't bolt to it.
