Tranny seal help needed ASAP!!

Tranny is leaking in between front of tranny/back of torque converter...wondering what seal we need

It's called the front pump seal... it's a pretty ordinary type of metal-clad lip seal, probably $10 or so

It may or may not come w/ a new seal retainer. It goes over the seal once installed and has "fingers" that dig into the outside of teh pump to help prevent the seal from walking out. Also, once the torque converter is out and take a good look at the bushing. If the bushing is shot and the torque converter is allowed to move some, the new seal will do you no good.

It's also possible that the converter hub bushing has "walked" out to the lip of the seal and caused the seal to start leaking. You don't mention the year, make of the trans or I did not see that info.

If that's what has happened, then you have more things to fix.
