flywheel size?

I have a 700-r4 mated to a GM 350. Can anyone tell me how many teeth are on my flywheel? I will be replacing the starter and the manufacturer needs to know. Thanks guys,
John

Thanks, I'm a transmission retard. I knew it was either 153 or 168. What kind of cars did they use a 168 on?

i think it was the older 2-pc rear main cars that had the 168.

hmmm... My motor is a 2pc rear main seal. It is made as a replacement for 69-85 GM vehicles. Does this change things? Thanks guys, I know this is an old topic, but I need the right starter. (still havent ordered it)

i used a flywheel from a 80 g-body with a turbo 350 trans, 2 piece seal, my 700 and f-body starter bolted up just fine.

If the holes where your starter was bolted to the block are parallel to the flywheel,
you have a 153 tooth. If the holes are at a
diagonal, then you have a 168 tooth.
