how to tighten bands in a 700r4

any one know whow to tighten the bands in a 700r4 tranny, that is if you can, as my box slipps when warm, i am having a new one built but in the mean time i thought i may be able to make it last a little longer

Nice idea, but the design of the 700R-4 doesn't allow any such. Your best hope is clean fluid and fresh filter, then keep your foot out of the go-pedal.

There is no external band adjustment on a 700R4. Pressure on the band is supplied by the servo piston. The adjustment is changing the length of the shaft on the servo piston.
