How long will my rear hold up?
Guys, in about 3 weeks, the ol Camaro will be back on the road with a built transmission from CPT.
I have replaced the engine and now the transmission and the only other thing I can think of that could go catastrophically wrong is the rear end, which really has me concerned.
My motor is an LB9 with exhaust and some bolt-ons. I am estimating the power output to be around 270/310.
The part that really has me concerned is that while I'm having the transmission put in, I am getting Nitto 275/60-15 drag radials put on.
The rear end is a 10 bolt with a 3.23 pegleg, and has approx 150,000 miles on it. I do plan on using the TA girdle cover but every time I think about stomping the gas and having those tires hook It's almost like theres an impending cloud of doom lingering over my head ready to pour down at any given moment.
What do you guys think? Is it gonna grenade?
