Chrylser Hemi box in my '84
Chrylser Hemi box in my '84
I'm putting in this 4-speed tranny in my '84 camaro.
Now I've gotta buy a scattershield so I can dragrace it....
I bought an adapter plate that will bolt the tranny to a chevy bell....
Now do I buy the Lakewood bell with the hydrolic bracket for an '84 camaro or do I have to buy a plain jane chevy bell?
The reason I ask is...I've read and heard about a 17deg angle or something that locates my original T5.....????

The angle is because the clutch fork/arm/slave cylinder would be right where your gas pedel is if it wasn't angled downward.
You could always cut out the tranny tunnel and make it larger. That would mean having to move the gas pedel over or moving all the pedels, the seat and steering wheel back.
