So I got the trans finally but ended up getting a short tail shaft th350 son now my 700r4 driveshaft isn't long enough... So my question is what do I have to get a drive shaft out of to make the short tail tranny work? what year and model of car can i get one out of....

82-83 F-body that came with the TH200c 3 speed tranny.

 

So I can get a drive shaft out of 82-83 camaro...

 

Only if the car had a Th200C 3 speed. Not all did.

 

if I can't find one with that tranny... Do you know the length of the drive shaft so I could have them match one by length....

The easy way of doing it with the tranny in the car and use a tape measure

 

82 to 83 with sagiaw 4 spees standard is also same

 

The proper length is to slide the slip yoke all the way into the tranny then pull it back out 1". Measure from u-joint center to center. That's the length of the driveshaft to have one made.
