In the FAQ section, it says that some Camaros cannot do a 3-4 upshift at WOT. It says that GM part #8673948 is required for the WOT shift. My question is... does the TransGo Reprogramming Kit (aka "Performance" shift kit) eliminate the need for the GM part? Also, what is a Heavy Duty 2-4 Band? And, finally... would it be wise to use the following parts together:

1 TransGo Reprogramming Kit
2 .500 main valve boost
3 intermediate/reverse boot valve
4 Corvette Servo

-Thanks for any help you can give me.

The Trans-Go Shift Kit does not eliminate this 3-4 WOT shift problem. You can do this yourself by eliminating the part-throttle downshift holes in the TV bushing. The HD band I find that works the best is the Borg Warner Hi-Energy 2-4 band. I use this in all my HD/Hi-Perf applications, it works very well. GM started using this band around 1995-96. The .500 main & .296 intermediate/reverse boost valve, and Corvette servo should work out fine. There are still other things you can do, but this will give you a good start especially if you have more than 425 hp. If you get serious then I would get a 9.5" lockup (A.C.T., or a 10" non-lockup from Continental. the stall will depend on how big the cam is at .050 lift, size of motor, rear end gear ratio, etc. If I can be of help, call me at 800 7763288 Mon-Sat 11-7 PST.

You will need ther GM 3-4 throttle valve. The plunger may or may not give you what you want.
