I want to change my tranny fluid and filter. i have a 700r4 with 60k
Ive never done it before... but the thing im wondering is wat are the best types of filters and fluids to use.. ive looked at past posts but havent found anything bout the filters.. it seems that everyone says AMsoil for synthetic fluid and Mobil 1 for non synth?..
How much more is it for synthetics?

and wat about rear ends... should i flush it and fill it with some new stuff?

mobil 1 is synthetic. i use mobil 1 in the trans, rear ends, transfer cases, and engines of everything i own along with a little pennzoil on occasion. wouldn't hurt to drain and refill the rear end ,if it's clutch type posi add some gm posi additive along with the gear oil.
