I need a little help trying to convert my rear end to a posi. I bought a posi unit from ebay from a '96 camaro. I know I need to find 28 spline axles. The car was stock a '88 Sport Coupe with a vin "e" tbi 305.
What year Camaro's should I be looking for that have axles that will fit my Camaro?
Can I use the pinion from the '96? I really like that gear ratio so I would like to know all I need to set this up.
Would I have to change the races in my '88 housing to the same size as the '96? Or should I change the pinion bearings to that of my '88?
Please help. I am very capable of doing the labor. I may have a problem with pinion depth tho. Please any help would be appreciated

you should be able to use the 4th gens gear set. the races shouldn't need changed. look for a 90 and newer f body for the 28 spline axles.
