T5 from a V6 car

OK easy question here, i don't really know all the much about the specifics of installing one of these things. I have a posible donor car lined up, a mid 80's V6 firebird. I don't know anything else about it, somone just told me about it in one of my classes today. Anyway to keep the story short, I'd really like to put a 5 speed in my car and i could probably get all the parts i need since its still a running/drivable car that he wants to part out. Things I'm wondering:

Is it the same version of the T5?
What parts would i need to pirate? (besides the obvious)
Would i need a new driveshaft?
Would the PROM need to be altered?

I'm gonna do some more readin up on this after work, but for right now if anyone has any quick answers like if i'm crazy/stupid or not i'd really appreciate it.

From what I hear the v6 T5's last about a week and a half behind a v8.

Yeah, you are crazy and stupid. Nah, just kidding, maybe, anyways i believe you can have it rebuilt to hold up to the engine, but for the horsepower you are running right now it should be fine.

But we can still buy the car and drop my 350 Pontiac motor and Turbo 350 after I put the 455 and turbo 400 in!! As long as the body is saveable.
