how hard to replace TV cable?
everytime i go WOT my TV cable gets out of adjustment, istead of racheting (sp?) it just stays all the way back until about WOT then it makes a loud click and gets all out of adjustment, and makes the tranny shift really early. But its fine unles i go WOT. so i can properly adjust it. I heard its pretty hard to replace in the tranny.

Unless the cable is stripped it sounds like you are trying to'over' adjust it. Do this: To adjust the TV Cable skip the book method and do this: Press the D button on the adjuster and loosen the cable setting. Now, have someone floor the gas pedal while you check to see if the throttle plate is open all the way. Usually they are off a little and will wiggle. Do whatever you have to do to get it open solid. Now, with the pedal still floored, press the D button and pull the cable casing (the black tube) back as hard as you can and release the button. You now have the engine, tranny and gas pedal all in sync at WOT. Mark the cable so if for some reason it gets moved you can know where to put it again. The problem with the 'self adjust method' is that it bends things and puts them permanently out of whack. It is also the full TV setting, which is theoretically what the GM method does.
when u say pull, do u mean pull it away from the cab, or tawards to cab?

Pull the cable toward the rear of the car.
If you drop the tranny's pan,and disconnect it from the linkage, is not all
that hard to change a TV cable. Just make sure you route it to the throttle exactly
as the factory did, and follow transfixleo's
adjustment directions.
