I just bought a b & m console megashifter for my 91 z28 and i have a couple stupid questions. First, how do i get the old shifter **** off...i think thats going to be the hardest part. Second, has anyone installed one of these before and how long do u think it will take. Thanks

To take the **** off, just pull the button out of the top and there is a clip in there. Take that out and your good to go. It'll take a long time of you use the cable that came with it. I used my original cable. Had to drill the hole out just barely to make it fit on the shifter. Then I cut the bracket where the cable clicks into it and welded the old one to the shifter and I used 2 screws and welded it the rest of the way in. Now I'm gonna have to cut it out cause I'm going to a T5. Any questions just e-mail me. bhaas@bigfoot.com

Took me about 3 hours by myself. No drama.
