Clutch disengagement problem - T56 swap

Guys, I just fired my 84 back up after swapping in my T56. I was trying to run it through the gears while it was on the stands and it was shifting really hard and sometimes refusing to go into gear at all.

It seems to shift fine with the motor off, so I'm suspecting the clutch isn't disengaging completely.

Another thing I noticed is, with the motor off and the trans in neutral, I can spin the driveshaft easily with one hand. If I get someone to put it in 1st and put the clutch in, I can't budge the driveshaft even with both hands. Should I be able to? I would think so, although it might be a tad more difficult since I'm turning the gears in the tranny now too...
