TH350 Trouble. Help!
Ok. I was trying to fix where my transmission is leaking bad. It turned out to be leaking where the cable from the throttle on the carb goes into the transmission. I don't know the proper name for that cable. The bolt that holds the housing in is too small for some reason and wasn't holding it in tight. I couldn't get it to tighten down, so I took the bolt out to replace it with a bigger one, and the housing came off. The cable pulled out of the tranny also. I fought with it for an hour trying to get it back in, but no luck. I tried squeezing it with pliers th make it fit. Just as I was about to be able to get it in the housing, it snapped, and the cable whipped back INTO the transmission. Now, how do I get it back out?

You'll have to remove the pan if you can't pull the linkage back up.
Depending on the year of the trans that bolt may be either metric or sae thread, I'm guessing the wrong bolt was installed and now it's stripped. The trans will have to come out to install a helicoil to repair the threads.
