Have you ever had trouble with the cover or the rubber plug leaking, especially under full throttle, how did you fix it?

Not under the conditions you describe. But I did seal mine with silicone gasket sealer when I filled mine once. I had a minor weep and didn't trust it.

Yep, mine leaked. Sealed it like Lon said and all is good now.

Mine leaked like a sieve. I tapped the hole for a pipe plug.... I believe I used a 1/2" or a 3/4" plug.... I can't recall

Axle/Gears: 3.70 9 bolt.
No problems with the plugs. Other leaks tho.
Had a cracked cover when I got the chicken - new cover was about $20. Now that cover has some nice dings and scraps inside of it when the 3.45's went boom.
Had problem the other day because some of the bolts backed out (ie: got loose) of the cover after the 3.70 change so I got a set of 5/16" coarse 3/4" long serrated flange bolts. Since I got 2 9 bolts I ordered a set of Mr. Gasket oil pan bolts for a mopar (pn 6088) that came with 20 of them for $9... that's almost cheaper than trying to find 9 at Home Depot.
