Nothing after 1st! Not the governor though
When I first bought the car the 700R4 wouldn't shift until around 4000rpm. NOW after I added some fluid and all it doesn't even shift into 2, 3 or 4th. I pulled the governor but its pretty much brand new because the transmission was rebuilt a few years ago but sat for maybe a year or so is what the last owner told me? I'm going with replacing the filter next. Am I on the right track? It seems to sudden of a symptom to be the filter but ya never know. Any Ideas?

you suddenly failed your trans, and nothing short of a rebuild will get your gears back. I've been through this more than once.

Changing the fluid and filter has been known to solve problems like this. On the other hand, don't be suprised if it doesn't.
