i just got my 350 motor and th350 tranny in on my 84 trans am. It had a 700r4 in it my th350 i think is a long tail shaft 9 or so inch long. i think thats called a output shaft? my question is can i use the stock drive shaft on that the reason i need the help quickly is because tomarrow i'm going up to spohn and planned on getting the trans cross member, tourqe arm, and drive shaft but if i can save 360 dollars that would be super great cause then i can buy my shorty headers and down pipe.

btw i found a thread that was saying something about how you can just wanted to confirm.

 

The 700R4 driveshaft is close enough to use with a 9" tailshaft TH350. If you have a 6" tailshaft TH350, you need the longer driveshaft found on a 82-83 f-body that came with a 200c 3 speed.
