What spline is my trans?need to know for converter

I am getting a new torque converter and i need to know what spline my transmission is it is out of a 86 305 with a 700R4 electronic lock up.....i think its either a 27 or a 30 spline don't want to make the wrong choice and end up with a converter i can't use thanks

Axle/Gears: Ford 9"/31 spline spool/4.86

According to all my references the 700R4 tranny used to be 27 spline. Half way through 1984 they went to 30 spline. Since you have a 1986 and if the tranny is original, then you have a 30 spline
