10 bolt to a 9 bolt

Axle/Gears: 3:42 fourth gen disk brake
10 bolt to a 9 bolt

Looks to be good to go. The 10 bolt out of my 91 camaro was warpped. So I found a 9 bolt from a 84-86 firebird. Its a BW. Just wanted to know what differances they have? Looks to be very little externally but inside I see some.

They are very different internally. If it's posi, check to see if it's good before you bolt it in (it's probably not).

Was told it was posi. I installed it. Cleaned it out real good and put royal purple in it. Seems to drive good but has alot of road noise. Maybe im just paying more attention to it than the one before.

Bad day today. Got the rearend in drove to work ran out of gas. Got gas after work. Drove to gas station got more gas. Then on my way home my front driver tire blew out. Went to jack up the car with my ac delco jack and the car was to low. Finally found a spot jacked it up took the tire off lowerd the jack some then the block wouldnt fit so went to jack it up again and the darn jack went out. so I left the jack under the car and left. This is at 1am. lol Funny yhing is the tire looked great before this.
