Alright, need some tranny suggestions here...

Well the time has come to start getting parts, or at least a parts list for my 700r4 rebuild. I need a tranny that will handle some power. Its going behind a turbo 3.8 from a TTA(maybe, with some luck i'll have the engine by next week, but won't be going in till spring). The engine is already built, with a best time of 11.06. Now, i have NO intention of going that fast. I'll keep it reasonable, high 11's low 12's

Now i don't plan on running at the track more than say, one a month or once every other month, but this car WILL be my daily driver. Basically i need some input on a good rebuild kit, mods to the tranny to make it hold up, and companies/parts to stay away from. I know stuff like this has been posted before, but sometimes people have difference recommendations since this tranny is going behind a turbo motor.

I know some people will say "Why don't u do with a 200-4r?" Well its a nice idea, can be built to handle some HP and TQ but i don't feel like getting a new DS TQ Arm and x-member

Thanks guys!!

When setup correctly it will hold up to more torque/horsepower than a 700R4 easily. Example there are many more mid-nine GN's than Camaro/Firebird's with 700R4's in the mid-nines in the country holding up fairly well. The 2004R will run about a tenth quicker & one mile per hour faster in the quarter in the average high 11/13 second vehicle (all things being equal). If you have any questions about this call me at 800 7763288 M-S 10-6 PST or e-mail me.

How are you gonna bolt the 700R4 to the 3.8?
