when i step on the gas there is a grinding/banging sound and then vibrations. What could be the reasone for this? Could it be the tranny mount?? or the clutch?? need help fast...travelling home soon and cant drive the car like this. I have the t-5 tranny. any help would be appreciated

 

When I broke my tranny mount when I stepped on the gas there was just one loud bang, the tranny hitting the floor. Broken tranny mounts are easy to check though. Just jack up the car and get under the tranny and push up on it. If the mount seperates, its broken. Hope that helps.
