Will swapping from a 700r4 to a 350 trans cause the check engine light to come on?

Will swapping from a 700r4 to a 350 trans cause the check engine light to come on?
Im sick of the overpriced parts for the 700r4 trans! It's just not fair. The trans that i have never wants to up shift when u have full throttle. I ve adjusted the cable several times. A tranny shop adjusted the cable & still no full throttle upshifts. Now I'm going with a old school 350 trans with a B&M 3000 stall converter with some 3.42-3.73 gears. The motor specs are in the signature. Anyone have any suggetions before I get started? The motor is a 383 sbc with a stock tpi setup. Soon to come will be the 195 afr heads & miniram.
thanx

No, the computer gets no feedback from the transmission, other than park/neutral and speedometer, so it doesnt care what kind of trans you have.

Thanx for the computer answers, but what about the 700 vs 350 trans questions i asked. Is it worth fooling around with a very expensive 700 trans or should i just go with what I know about the 350?
The TH350 I think is stronger and no BS like the 700R4 POS. I had one in my car with 3:42 gears. Gets bad gas mileage and on the freeway the tach is at 4000. No overdrive.
But it sure is quick.

Now has T5 in it. YES!!!

it depends on you want out of your car?
i'm in the exact same situation, my car is sitting at home with a burned up 700, and i just bought a precision ind. vigalante 3500 stall....yeah believe me i know where your coming from.
according to transfixleo, the 700 will hold up farely well if install, hi-perf (i believe this is what they're called) clutch springs which prevent centrifugal apply and use the high energy materials provided by the OEM & BORG WARNER, i'm going to try the 700 again. since i allready have an investment in it allready,
your situation may be different though?
oh yeah if you;ve read some if his post its evident that he is knowlegible with trannys
anyway.... if your not concerned about mileage, and high way use, then go with the th350
i know if run into any more issues after this rebuild i'll most likely switch to a th400 ....maybe
