clutch/tranny question

ok, I'm puting in my new clutch this weekend and I was wondering what to use to drop/raise the tranny. I searched this and saw that I can rent a tranny jack, but where? also, what do I need to grease, just the bearings? the rest just bolts on right? thanks for any and all help

The t-5 is light enough that you can just pull it out and bench press it in. It isn't that heavy. I have done it by myself about six times. An extra set of hands is nice though. The only real advice I have is two things, obvious as they may be, use the alignment tool and use a torque wrench. It's pretty self explanatory so shouldn't be too hard. Oh yeah, I don't know if you've done it before but I haven't figured any way to get all the bellhousing bolts off without a U-joint and a couple of extensions.

cool, so I don't need a tranny jack. I do have a u-joint and plenty of extensions, and also a torque wrench. What do I need to grease though?

I use a regular floor jack with a block of wood to hold up the tranny. It makes it easier to move if things do not want to line up right away.
