i havea 350 turbo tranny with my 327 and when i put it in drive..its an auto...it goes but it wont get out of 1st gear.or maybe 2nd.i am pretty sure 1st.either way it wont shift and i dotn know why if u can plz help me

 

Do this: try running it up to the point that it would normally WOT upshift. If it does then go back and check the vacuum to the modulator or if you see oil come out of the hose when you take it off, replace it. If that is OK then check you Detent cable and see if it is stuck out.

If it doesn't shift then you either have a bad governor or maybe the intermediate roller clutch let go.
