install q's on trans go reprogram kit
ok, my trans is coming apart this weekend, because I know i didn't do something right in the install of the trans go kit. It was shifting weird already, and it stopped shifting completely now, so i have to do something.
Here's a few specific questions:
1.Does anyone have a good diagram of what check ball goes where? I know there's one big one, is that for the aux valve body?
2.How exactly do you do a proper band adjustment? With eliminating the spring and putting shims in to get it right, i'm not quite sure when you know it's adjusted properly. Can someone give me a quick guide through it, or a good rule of thumb on the amount of washers/shims?
3.Torquing on the valve body. It specifies torquing everything to 80 in-lbs. The only inch-lb torque wrench i have at my disposal tops of at 50 in-lbs. So isn't 7ft-lbs the same thing as 84 inch lbs? Would that suffice for torquing? Just go to 7ft-lbs?
4.Anything else i need to know, common mistakes, etc?
