will tranny out of a 92 blazer work??

I recently got a trans. out of a 87 camaro to replace my six speed. I also found that the the trans was the weaker 85. I can get a 700r4 out of a blazer 4X4. If i change the tailhousing would it be possible to get it built and put in my car???. what is different between the 2 transmissions??

Yes it will work. They are essentially the same but do operate a little differently due to hydraulic differences and the internals are a little more durable.

So would the internals being more durable and the hydraulics being different be benifical to me even though im getting my trans built?
