Shift kit and servo
Hi guy's how is it going. I own a 1988 IROC Z with 350 TPI that I did engine work to much to my satisfaction during last winter. I want to know these things if you would please. Does the transgo kits from Summit make your shifts hard or firm? Is it going to be a jerk when it shifts driving normally or is it just more firm than stock? Can the Corvette servo and shift kit be put in with the transmission in the car? As you know here in Minnesota your summer car has plenty of time for modifications during winter but I need some of these questions answered before I start buying parts. Thank you so much for your help and let us not cry due the demise of the f-body for I feel it will be back with a vengence. Thanks again for your help.
There is plenty of flexibility in how it shifts. They design it so that with more throttle it gets firmer. Also he vehicle makes a big difference too. If you have low gears the shift will be firmer and if you have a higher stall conveter it will be softer, etc. You may already have the 'Vette servo, by the way.
