Ford T5 question
Will a T5 from a 4 cylinder Mustang work with a 8 cylinder Mustang?
A friend would like to know.

I think it would physically bolt up but you'd have to change the pilot bearing. I THINK they were different.
I'd go to corral or stangnet and post there to get a more accurate answer

My guess is the gear ratios are a lot steeper in the 4 cylinder trans. they would do this to compensate for lack of torque.

OK, thanks. He got the trans for $100 and thought he would install it until he could afford the Tremac. I told him to wait and now he has this dilemma.
