Replaced both TV cable and accelerator cable. If I downshift manually, it feels so much stronger. But what is holding 2nd for so long. I have to let off the gas at WOT for it to shift into 3rd.

Do I need a new tranny? Is something goofy with the TC? Is it the valve inside the tranny that attaches to the TV cable? And yes the TV cable has been adjusted properly so don't ask about that.

 

start saving for a new one...mine was doing the exact same thing. then i lost 4th, couldnt get over half throttle in 3rd till it finally just gave out

 

It drives fine if I normal drive it. It just sucks when I want it to get frisky.

 

most common problem on a 700r4. 3-4 band goes.. i lost 3rd on mine earlier this year.. just have to replace trans. you can rebuild them way stronger...

 

Is there a different band for WOT shifts than regular normal shifts? Normally driving is fine everytime. Just most of the time at WOT does the not shifting from 2-3 happen.

 

had the same issue with mine, i only had 1st and 2nd where the bands were gone. Advanced auto had a rebuild kit for the bands but it was easier to just get another trans.
