I checked the coolant lvl, my engine isn't missing, and my tps is new. I had a 5.0 L in my car but the engine blew so I have 5.7L now. The car had the same problem then as it does now. But I can feel the lock up in second gear like the middle of it. Maybe this will help more. Do you suggest a manual switch for the lock up? and how do put one in? Any other suggestions? thanx

 

If you have access to a scanner you could look at the data to see what is really going on. It is possible that hte converter is not holding but you can try a switch in place of all that. What you need to do is on the tranny at the connector there is a series of letters from A through D What you need is a fused 12 volt supply to the A terminal and a switched ground control on the D terminal. If it won't work after that then you are looking at an internal problem.
