What do I do to convert a gear driven trans to eletric.
This issue I have is when I replaced the motor in my car I also replaced the Trans. The 89 Firebird has a electric speedometer and the 89 Camaro had a gear driven trans. Some one told me I could change the tail piece on the trans to electric. Is that true and can I go to the junk yard and get one. Or if you have any better ideas that would help.

I believe your speed sensor will replace the plastic speedo gear holder. Do a search for this topic, I asked the same question a couple weeks back. I don't think it is nescessary to change the tail section. Good luck- Randy
