10 BOLT 7.5 AND 10 BOLT 7.5 5/8 IS THE SAME ?
Are this the same ?
a 10 Bolt 7.5 rear end

Transmission: Powerglide
Axle/Gears: Ford 9"/31 spline spool/4.86
Yes. The only difference is the slightly larger ring and pinion of the 7 5/8". Everything else is the same.
GM upgraded to 7 5/8" somewhere in the late 80's. The diffs are still called 7 1/2" 10 bolts.

No. F-body didn't go to 28 spline until 90. The 7 5/8" was offered just before that.
Just did some quick research. The 7.5" was dropped in all Camaros , probably Firebirds also, in 1985 for the larger 7 5/8".
