What rear gear with T-5?

>I'm running 3.73's with a T-5...I don't know the first gear ratio for the trans, but it is very low with this rear gear...1st and 2nd gear runs out very quickly and I find myself running mostly in 4th and 5th with 4th the deep accelerating gear. Would I be happier with a 3.23 rear? I;d like to run in 2nd and 3rd on the street with 4th and 5th for the hiway. Thanks

Check the T-5 FAQ above for more info. Here's my non-WC:

1st 2.95
2nd 1.94
3rd 1.34
4th 1.00
5th .74 or .63 (depending on the trans)

3.23's work for me as you describe in your last sentence.

I also have 3.23s and a t5 and I like the way it keeps my rpms low on the street and on the highway.

Mine has plenty of zoom zoom left at 3000 in third. I'd guess 70+ in third, 90+ in fourth. The mystery is 5th--I have a noise in the pass side of the car that screeches, "Now, you slow this darned thing down right now!"
