T-5 FOR v-8 AND v-6 ..SAME?

Hi , i want to change from a 700r4 to a t-5..they are hard to find...can a 2-8 L v-6 T-5 BE USED ?..can i just change the bell housing?..besides the pedals ..what else needs to be modified from an auto car to a 5 speed?

You can use a V6 unit, but will need a different clutchplate (advance adapters) to compensate for the differences in input shafts.
But i think the gears of the v6 unit are to steep to use with a 3.23 rear axle.
As the T-5 is very rare here in Holland i am going to put a v6 unit in a c4 corvette, but it has a 2.59 rear axle
