T56 install Q's

O.K. I have made the decision and started to install my T56 into my 89 Iroc.

Pedal assembly- how do I release the hydraulic pressure in the clutch/master slave unit? the clutch rod is too long to attach to the pedal assembly.

next q's- on my A4 brake pedal, I have a switch that has a vacuum line and two wires. What are the two wires on this switch for? The manual pedals have the same vacuum line, but no wires accompaning it.

next q's- on the manual pedals, ther is a switch for the clutch pedal; what is this one for? What do I plug into it and from where?

Last q's- On the automatic shifter, thier are two cables. One cable runs up the column; what is it and can I remove it?

I will definately have more q's later, but for now this is what I need.

Thanks to everyone one on this board! I get tons! of info and help here!

The 2 cables are for the shifter and the steering lock. I left the cable for the steering lock there.

The switch on the cluth is for the netural safe start. I hooked that up, don't remember the wiring though.

The on on the brake pedal, is I think for the cruise control. I did not hook that one back up. I think to make it work, you have to take a wire off of the ecm.

The rod, I just ordered a complete new on from Dal, had master cyl, slave and res.
