So this new t56 trans bolts right up to a t5 bell with no adapter plate or anything?can you use a mechanical clutch linkage set up?Where did you get them and how much? This would make my swap so easy, thanks for any help!

from what i remember about this trans, it uses the T5 shifter (not the T56 shifter). Also, http://www.sallee-chevrolet.com has them for $2295 + $40 to redrill for straight up bellhousing

ok, i ordered a pro 5.0. just tell them it is for an aftermarket t-56 and you need the t-5 lever. It is supposed to fit directly in my car with no probs. I will let you know on the 26.

i have...

i have the pro 5.0 with the aftermarket t56. i didnt specify the t5 handle and it fits fine except for the reverse, you have to push a little to nudge the console over like an eighth of an inch or so. i had a ripper shifter with the t5 which i liked better but the pro 50 is wearing in and im liking it more. if you dont hook up the reverse solinoid the its a pain to get it into reverse but you can do it and after awhile it gets a lot easier. hope it helps.
