lm7/ls1 t-55 fittment

Engine: ls 5.3 carb
Transmission: t56 six speed
Axle/Gears: 3:73
lm7/ls1 t-55 fittment

can someone help me out, will my t-5 bolt up to a lm7 or ls1 engine? or is there something i can do, like get an adapter or something. any help would be great,thanks.

T5 won't bolt up to an ls based engine, nor could it handle the power. There is an adapter to bolt an ls based trans to an sbc so maybe it could be used backwards but there would be no reason to do so. If you are going to swap for a higher powered engine you have to upgrade your entire drive train to accomodate it.

ok thanks, but my enging had around 375hp and it was great make some good hp,i dont know if the guy that owned the car before me did something with it, he drag raced the car all the time. but anyway i still want to build a ls1 or change a lm7 the carb, with new cam and intake and make some good hp, thanks
