t5 problem

I was about to go get some food and as I start to go my transmisison dies. The funny thing is I was barely moving. It moves the car, but makes a loud clunk noise and kicks the car forward when it does. It does it in all gears, reverse, and it also makes that same noise if the car is in neutarl and the clutch is let out. When you put the clutch in it doesn't make any noise.

Does anyone have any Idea what exactly when wrong? Is it something rebuildable or am I going to have to get a new transmission?

Re: t5 problem

Does your car stay in gear when that happens?
Do you see any oil leaks coming from you transmission?
Check your transmission mounts and your torque arm first. Make sure that nothing has come lose. One time my torque arm came lose and my car was making similar noises. Was an easy fix, especially since the torque arm bolt was still there. But it did scare the crap out of me.

Re: t5 problem

It's inide the transmission. I turned the ar on put it in neutral and whatever was making the noise isn't making the noise anymore. It is locked up in the gears so you can't even push the car if the clutch is in an the car is is gear. It is also almost impossible to put it i gear.

Re: t5 problem

You might have lost the input shaft gear, shredded itself and got wedged in places to keep it from moving. It's really hard to tell for sure though until you drop the transmission and open it up for sure.

Re: t5 problem

My T56 swap is almost finished. The literally only thing left to do is hook the master to the slave cylinder and bleed the clutch. My problem is I don't have the line that goes from the master to the slave. I've been looking and calling around and nobod seems to have it. None of the stores around here can even get a hydraulic assembly with the master/slave and the line already attached. does anyone know where I can get the line?
