i have a 89 iroc z tbi 305 with 700r4 iam needing info on why my overdrive stopped working and doesn't want to kick-down acts like its in neutral until u give it gas ...does the tv cable need to be reset or what

another question don't know rear end is low on fluid or have wheel bearing going out its making a winning noise and when i shift to neutral and coast it quietens down

strange, they normaly act like they are in neutral (slip) when you give it gas

for question 1, could be their is poor circulation with the tranny, as in not getting enough fluid to kick it in to gear, you do have enough fluid in the tranny right?

for 2, ya checking the fluid definantly helps it, and if their was very little to none, with the lac of lube youre barings may be shot

My current 700R-4 lost OD 2 years ago, but otherwise is still performing well. The last time I lost OD, it was the band, so I also lost second. This time, I don't know what went wrong, and I'm not about to find out unless I lose another gear.
