Differental fluid?

hi i was going to change the fluid on my differental its a limited slip with 3.42 gears i wanted to know which fluid i should use to do it thanks!

GL5 (80W90) and put in the GM posi additive (stuff really stinks)

If you want to use a synthetic, you can use 75W90 but I'd still put in the posi additive.

Capacity is around 2 quarts but buy 3 just in case it's slightly more.

Oil, yes. GM posi additive, maybe, and if not, they'll have something similar.

The posi additive is required if you have a real posi using clutches or cones. If you have a gov-lock system, the additive isn't required.

GM’s limited slip additive is p/n 1052358. Your dealership will have it in stock.

If flushing all the fluid with Royal Purple, is the additive still needed? From what I've read, RP has an additive in it that negates the requirement for the additive. Is this correct?
