700r4 still not shifting right -- long read

***This is gong to be a long read, but i want to make sure that i give as much info as possible so that i can be better assisted..

Ok so im going to approach this in a different way to try and diagnose my shifting problem.

I have posted numerous times on numerous forums, asked a ton of people at work, mechanics, called trans. shops, restoration shops, and read a ton online and it seems like I’m the only one who has had this problem, and no one knows how to fix it.
So, my next line of attack to fix the problem is to learn everything I can about auto trans. and specifically the 700r4. Then I can make an educated guess on how to fix it (lets see if my 4 years of engineering college pays off?!?!).

As you guys know, in my car, after slowing down considerably, then getting back on the gas, the car tends to labor (it stays in one gear higher than it should). This forces me to give it gas and make it downshift, when it should be doing it automatically.

It tends to do it really bad, while in a turn. It will also do it in a straight line, but its not as noticeable.

I also have stated that it seems like my car won’t accelerate the way it should. (Yes, I have done a complete tune up, I have NO codes, and the CEL button does work)

The TC cable is set properly. I know this because I set it via a 700r4 trans website. I have driven it about 800 miles since I reset it, and from what I have read if it wasn’t set properly it would have burned my trans. up in a matter of miles.

Also the trans. fluid is full.

I never changed the fluid or filter, but it’s clean and doesn’t have a burnt smell coming from it.

I have gotten lots of different ideas from lots of people, but the most common ones are the governor, solenoid, or the valve body is stuck.

The trans is the orig. one that came in the car, and it has no modifications to it at all.

Mileage is 76K

1. So my questions are, what happens in a trans (like what parts are moving/spinning/clutches/solonoid....)when taking off from a stop?

2. When slowing down and going around a turn, what parts are moving in the trans?

Any help at all would be appreciated....feel free to contribute anything you think could help.
