i just got done putting a newer motor in my car and now i dont have line pressure The tranny worked fine before the swap, but now nothin. The only difference is it had the stock motor in it before the swap, now it has a 75 350, with the old style crank, so of course i got a new flywheel. I never took the t/c out of the tranny, so im pretty sure it hasent moved, and when i bolted up the t/c to the flywheel, it only moved about an 1/2 in forward. I guess what im asking is does the t/c have to be pushed in all the way? Would this cause me to have no line pressure?

Do you have any fluid coming out of the bottom transmission line at the radiator, with the engine at idle in park? If not broken pump.

Re: 700 r4

Hey Dana, I am tempted to send you my whole tranny and have you rebuild it or do whatever it needs. The tranny shop in town is telling me $1300-$1700 for either rebuilding my tranny or replacing it. That seems a bit high, in my opinion.

In addition, they don't want to install your bebuild kit, if I were to get it and try to give it to them to install. They want to use their own (which they say is a factory "updated" kit).

By the way, I'm the guy who called you several times, after I got your shift kit installed, about my tranny not working properly in "Drive."
