9 bolt 3.45s vs 10 bolt 3.73s

Im building my turbo setup for my 355 and i was reading around the thread and found out that with my 3.73 gears is not a good choice for boost cuz ill probably run through the gears too fast. i have a t56. My brother has a 9 bolt rear end in his car that was rebuilt to factory specs like 2 years ago and i told him i would trade him my 10 bolt which i put richmond gears in it with new bearings for his 9 bolt 3.45 geared rear end.

was this a stupid move or will i be fine for right now? i didnt have the money or time to go out and buy a 12 bolt/9 inch or build my 10bolt with other gears so i saw this as an alternative.

9 bolt is a slightly stronger rear as well. Id say it was probably a pretty good move since it was rebuilt rear for rebuilt rear.
