Do anyone know where I can get the rubber plug on the back of the Borg Warner 9 Bolt Rearend cover?

 

It's probably the same as the one used in Jeeps. You might try a Chrysler dealer.

 

Better solution is to tap it for a tapered pipe plug.

 

Yeah, the dealer should be able to help you out. Or, what I would try first, is I know that in some parts stores "Help" section, they have plugs labeled for Chrysler, but looks awfully close to the 9 bolt plug. I think it would be a lot cheaper if you could find one of those and it fits.

I'm in the same spot that you were. My plug was so old that when I took it out it broke into pieces. What did you find out and where did you have to get the replacement Plug.. Thank for the help.

I had to locate a valve cover grommet that way.

 

Tom91 is correct about the "help" brand also known as motormite. Places like autozone may not have them there, or even know how to look them up, but im about 95% sure they make the plug you need, Try going to a less commercial parts store that supplies mainly to repair shops, as they will have a better selection and more than likely several parts experts who have been sourcing hard to find parts for years.

 

beaner104, Funny thing is I got the plug from my friend that works at Jiffy Lube. Yeah I know Jiffy Lube of all places.
