t56 swap

well, today, I lost 3rd and 4th gear on my way to pick up some new parts, so needless to say I need a new trans, and I figured I'd upgrade to a T56. I'm looking at a LT1 t56 parts car, what parts will I need that the parts car won't have?

I know I'll need a swap crossmember, and a new console top plate from a five speed, anything else?

Thanks-

Eric

ECM reprogramming for Manual Trans.

Dakota box or ECM mods for VSS.

Possibly Correct TQ-arm bushing

I plan to swap the engine and trans together (the LT1 T56 car was wrecked) would I still need the ecm reprogrammed?

When did the torque arm bushing change? the car getting the engine and trans is a 91, so it probably has the correct bushing right?

Thanks for your help-

Eric

Re: t56 swap

Still needing to know,

would I still need the ecm reprogrammed? I plan to swap the engine and trans, not just the trans.

and if my 91 and the 94 T56 would have the same torque arm bushing?

also, would an Ls7 clutch fit an LT1 T56 combo?

Thanks for your help-

Eric

Possible, but you need to check since there were variations.

Re: t56 swap

you will probably just have to have the ECM to remove any vehicle ani theft and emissions. Nothing to do with the transmission swap. do a search on the topic that swap has been well documented.
