The rear end is held in at I think 5 points, 2 shocks, 2 control arms, and the track rod.
there may also be the torque arm, but it may have been removed with the transmission.
Make sure everything is properly supported and lower the rear SLOWLY so the springs won't fly out.

the rear springs wont fly out, jack it up and place jack stands or put it on a frame lift, etc etc. for starters once theres no load on your rear, you can actually pry and shake the rear springs right out. there should also be a hard plastic dampner thing at the tops. ok, next thing would be to disconnect the lower control arms, which run from each side of the diff and connect to the body, your also gonne have to disconnect the brake lines. i would do this first for the fact that if you dont, you can bend and break the lines and thats not good. then your gonna have to disconnect the torque arm bolts (2 big ones) then the shocks, then the panhard bar (runs parallel with the diff to the frame. and thats pretty much it. besides the drive shaft. lots of people have done this already and if you need more in depth instrustions or not sure what most of these things are....

that would be a good idea, just disconnect them from the adapter that runs to each individual brake...well..that is if your new rear end has brake lines hooked up already. hopefully it does, will make it easier. might be a pain to get off so use some wd40 or PB blaster. think its a 12mm wrench also FYI

well its coming out of a car that is going to the jun yard after i take it out...would cutting the cables effect it when i put it into my camaro??

Assuming it's the same year donor as your project, your existing cables may work in which case the old ones are garbage anyway. You're probably better off to replace the ebrake cables anyway. It'll just speed up the process of removing the axle. It's easier to deal with after the axle is out.
