This look like a 7 tooth drive gear to you?

??

Looks like 6 to me, but 6 doesn't exist.

I believe if my math serves me, for a 26" tire, 3.73 gears, I need a 20 or 21 tooth driven gear.. Currently has an orange 35.. Don't know what ratio that was...?

blue is not a 7 tooth.
pink is going to be a 7 tooth gear.
i have one with a new clip if interested.

edit.
blue is 18 teeth if its a 700r4.
i can be a blue 7 tooth, but that would be for a t5
not sure what it is by looking at it.
im an automatic guy. looks like a stick by your sig.

It's a 4spd manual trans, but it's the same tail as a Muncie/T10/TH350.

Might even take the same gear as a T5?? Not 100% sure on that one. I know it's 100% compatible with Th350 gears..

Should have specified that in top post.

Looking at it, do you see 6 teeth? 7?

The driven gear (Orange) had 35 teeth.. I'm not even sure what ratio that was for. Trans was in a '68 impala drag car..

Re: This look like a 7 tooth drive gear to you?

by counting the spiral, i count 8 ribs.
an easier way to count would be to count the numbs on the end of the gear when its off the shaft.
there are 2 different types of 350 gears.
BOP style(2 " plug", which also work with the 700r4, and th350/powerglide specific, which uses the small bullet for the mechanical cable.
the bop style could be mechanical or electric depending on the years, but still use the same gears... i THINK.

the 7 tooth pink gear i have is for a std chevy th350 with the small bullet and a 2 1/4 long driven gear.
some of this stuff is impossible to find, and others are everywhere.

the pic having a larger hole, and you mention a 35 tooth orange gear, i would assume that blue gear you have is the 18 tooth BOP th350, but i dont count 18 teeth when i look at the pic.

I could probably take the tailshaft off tomorrow and count the numbs. These tailshafts are bolted in, and then held in by a giant snap ring so I need to get some better snap ring plyers. My cheap "OEM" brand Autozoners broke on the first attempt

If you were wondering, the trans is a New Process A833, which was used on hemi powered mopars in the 60s and 70s, and in the early 80s GM used them on diesel 2wd trucks. It's similar to a muncie in size, but has a 500+ foot lbs torque rating.

Thanks!

cool.
whats it going behind?
counting the numbs on the end is a surefire way of knowing.
if it uses the same 27 spline yoke as a 350/700r4 then its possible those gears could interchange.
