What steel is a 26 spline axle made from?

Does anyone know the type of steel used in the construction of the 26 spline axle? Thanks.

Transmission: Powerglide

Axle/Gears: Ford 9"/31 spline spool/4.86

OEM axles are usually 1050 steel or less. I'm pretty sure my Moser axles are 1550 steel.
